Legal entity

BrassHelm is a brand operated by 28 Corp., a federal corporation incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act (CBCA) on November 28, 2023. Throughout these terms, "BrassHelm," "we," "us," and "our" refer to 28 Corp. and its US operating entity Better Harvests 28 Corp, doing business as BrassHelm. All consulting agreements, statements of work, and commercial contracts entered into through brasshelm.com are between you and 28 Corp.

BrassHelm also operates in the United States through Better Harvests 28 Corp, a US corporation. SMS messaging to US phone numbers is sent by Better Harvests 28 Corp.

What this site is

brasshelm.com is a marketing and booking site for the technology leadership practice operated by 28 Corp. Using the site to read information, schedule a call, or send us a message does not by itself create a consulting engagement or client relationship.

Booking a call

The 20-minute call is free. It is a phone call. We call you at the number you enter on the booking form, so a phone number is required to book. By booking, you agree to provide accurate information, show up on time, and treat the conversation as what it is, an honest discovery call. If it turns out we're not a fit for your situation, we will tell you.

Consulting work

Any paid consulting, implementation, or advisory work is covered by a separate written agreement signed by both parties. The website, the chatbot, and this page do not create that agreement. Pricing shown on the site is a guide, not a fixed quote, unless confirmed in a written proposal.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site, chatbot, or messaging channels to send unlawful, abusive, or harmful content, probe for vulnerabilities, or impersonate someone else. We reserve the right to decline or end any conversation at our discretion.

Communications

If you provide an email address, you agree we may use it to follow up about your booking or questions. The phone number on the booking form is required, because the call is a phone call and we need a number to reach you on. We use it to place the call and to reach you about that booking. Text messages are separate and optional. There is a consent checkbox under the phone field, unchecked by default, and only people who check it will ever receive a text from us. See the SMS Terms section below.

SMS Terms

How you opt in. The only place BrassHelm asks for a phone number is the booking form, where the number is required so we can call you at the time you booked. Providing the number does not opt you in to anything. Under it there is a separate SMS consent checkbox, unchecked by default, and checking that box is the only way to opt in to text messages. It is not required to book. If you leave it unchecked you still get the call and your booking details by email, and BrassHelm will not text you.

What we send. If you opt in, messages are about the call you booked and nothing else. A booking confirmation, a reminder before your scheduled call, and a notice if the call is rescheduled or cancelled. BrassHelm does not run an SMS marketing program and does not use SMS for sales follow-up.

Message frequency. Occasional. Frequency varies with your bookings.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your wireless carrier and plan. BrassHelm does not charge any fee for SMS.

Opt-out. Reply STOP to any BrassHelm SMS at any time to stop all further SMS messages from BrassHelm. You will receive one confirmation message after replying STOP and then no further messages.

Help. Reply HELP to any BrassHelm SMS for contact information, or email cameron@brasshelm.com.

Supported carriers. BrassHelm SMS is sent by Better Harvests 28 Corp through Telnyx, our telecommunications carrier, and delivered across major US and Canadian wireless carriers. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data are never sold, rented, shared, or transferred with third parties or affiliates for marketing, promotional, or any other purpose. See the Privacy Policy for full detail on how your information is handled.

Intellectual property

Content, copy, and code on brasshelm.com are the property of 28 Corp. (DBA BrassHelm) unless otherwise noted. You may link to the site and quote reasonable excerpts for normal commentary. Do not republish the site as your own.

No warranty, limitation of liability

The site and the free call are provided as is. Information shared on the call, in chat, or through messaging is general guidance, not a substitute for a formal engagement and not legal, tax, or compliance advice. To the maximum extent allowed by law, 28 Corp. (operating as BrassHelm) is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or any informal conversation, and total liability for anything tied to this site is limited to zero dollars, since use of the site is free.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. 28 Corp. is incorporated under the Canada Business Corporations Act and has its registered office in Calgary, Alberta. Any dispute tied to these terms or the site will be handled in the courts of Alberta.

Changes

If these terms change, we will update the effective date above and post the new version on this page.
